The Department of Medical Education is proud to have hosted more than 22 exhibits representing ground-breaking programs and research in medical education from the UIC College of Medicine that the Association of American Medical College's annual meeting. The UIC exhibit was part of the AAMC's Innovations in Medical Education (IME) exhibit at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. Exhibits represented work by faculty and students from all four campuses and eleven different departments and colleges.

Following the exhibit, the department hosted a reception for alumni, faculty, friends, and associates of DME at the Marriott hotel. This year's reception was attended by nearly 150 guests and featured music by faculty pianist Dr. Matt Lineberry. The reception was an opportunity to network with old friends and colleagues, meet new members of the medical education community, and build new relationships for future efforts.
